Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao Vice-Chancellor | NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao obtained his LL.B. & LL.M. from Kakatiya University, Warangal. He has secured M.Phil degree from National Law School of India University, Bangalore and Ph.D. from University of Delhi. Professor Srikrishna Deva Rao is a teacher and scholar in criminal law and access to justice. Prof. Rao is currently Vice Chancellor of NALSAR Hyderabad since November, 2022. Before joining NALSAR, he was Vice-Chancellor of NLU Delhi from 2020 – 2022 and also served as Vice-Chancellor of NLU Odisha for six years from 2014 – 2020. Prof. Rao was a Fulbright Nehru Alumni. He had the distinction of working with five prestigious law universities in India for the past three decades: National Law School, Bangalore; NALSAR, Hyderabad; Gujarat National Law University, Gandhi Nagar; NLU Odisha and NLU Delhi. He was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Washington, Seattle in 2012 and School of Oriental & African Studies, SOAS, London in 2013. His major areas of research are in criminal law and criminal justice administration. Prof. Rao received the highest award in the field of Criminology – “Kumarappa – Reckless Award” for his outstanding contribution in criminal justice education in India by the Indian Society of Criminology (ISC), in 2020. Professor Rao was Chairman of the ‘Committee for Reforms in Criminal Laws’ constituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in 2020 – 2022. Prof. Rao was member of the Indian delegation that presented the Universal Periodic Report (UPR) of Human Rights at the U.N. Human Rights Council at Geneva in November 2022.
Prof. Sourabh Bharti
Professor
Professor Saurabh Bharti is the faculty coordinator for the Moot Court Committee and all its events. Professor Bharti graduated from Memorial Gandhi College, Jammu, after which he made a shift to law from science. He pursued his LLB from Delhi University and then LLM from NALSAR. He then joined NALSAR for his teaching stint and is now assistant professor at NALSAR, and has a specialisation in intellectual property. Besides IPR, his area of interest includes constitutional law, international law and jurisprudence. He has also been a constant guiding light for the organisers of all the mooting events at NALSAR.

Stuti is a third year student at NALSAR and is the head of the 1st KSK-NALSAR Moot Court Competition, 2025. She has been in various organising committees previously and aims that this moot with KSK becomes a huge success.
